Sinter Plant No. 2 Construction
SP-2 construction has been carried out under the Contract concluded on the basis of Tender won in 30.6.92 by the Consortium consisting of VO “Tyazhpromexport” (Leader), State Enterprise “UkrGipromez”, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine (General Designer), Uralmash, Yekaterinburg, Russia (sinter machine designer & supplier), ORMETO-YUMZ, Orsk, Russia (linear cooler supplier) and 3 Indian companies – suppliers of indigenous equipment and services.
Customer’s Consultant was M.N. Dastur & Co. (Kolkata). SP-2 design capacity is 1.57 MT of sinter per annum. Sintering machine characteristics: sintering area of 192 m2, 600 mm high sinter layer, nodular iron pallets, linear sinter cooler area of 195 m2.
Construction was completed and Sinter Plant Commissioning Certificate was issued on 17.11.1997.
Construction of BOF shop No. 2
Contract on BOF shop No. 2 construction was concluded on the basis of Tender won in 05.08.1992 by the Consortium consisting VO “Tyazhpromexport”, Leader, “Gipromez”(Moscow), General Designer, “Azovmash” (Mariupol, Ukraine), equipment supplier, “Vostokmetallurgmontazh” (Chelyabinsk), equipment erection & adjustment contractor.
Customer’s Consultant was M.N. Dastur & Co. (Kolkata).
Design capacity of BOF shop No.2 is 1.9 MT of steel per annum. Shop structure: 2 converters of 150 t capacity each, blowing system, gas cleaning plant, hot metal desulfurization plant, environment protection system and auxiliary facilities. Construction has been completed and Commissioning Certificate was signed on 01.09.1997.
