"Tyazhpromexport" is a participant of the Russian-Myanmar Business Forum

The Foreign Economic Association Tyazhpromexport of Rostec State Corporation has signed a contract with the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for the restoration of an oxygen station at the metallurgical complex in Pang Pet. Putting the station into operation will ensure that the enterprise is put into operation in the future. A corresponding plan to resume the construction of the plant is being worked out with the Myanmar side.

The business Forum, held in Moscow on March 5, was a continuation of the dialogue between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, initiated as part of the fifth meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Myanmar Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, held on February 23 in the capital of Myanmar, Naypyidaw.

"In February of this year, we successfully completed negotiations and signed a contract for the restoration of an oxygen station at the metallurgical complex in Pang Pet. The construction of the pig iron making plant is an important project in the field of metallurgy within the framework of the multi-format Russian-Myanmar cooperation, which will strengthen ties between the two countries," said Sergey Egorov, General Director of Tyazhpromexport.

The main topics of the business forum include the investment potential of Russian-Myanmar relations and doing business in Myanmar.

The Forum was attended by Dr. Kang Zaw, the Union Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Myanmar, Khain Khain Nwe, Secretary General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Myanmar, Aung Aung Zaw, Head of Myanmar Airways International, Tit Lynn Oon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Russian Federation, and other representatives of departments and authorities.
