Sinter Plant at Bokaro Steel Plant is made-up of 3 sintering machines with 312m2 working area each supplied by JSC “VO “Tyazhpromexport” and commissioned in 1972, 1977 and 1982. Sintering machines designed and supplied to India by Uralmash Steel Plant, Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Out of 312 m2 each machine working area 276m2 are the sintering area and 36 m2 are the area of partial sinter cooling.
The aim of Sintering machine №1 modernization is increase of sintering area from 276 to 312 m2, replacement of pallet material and design with increase of sinter layer from 400 to 500mm and sealing quality enhancement along with gas collector modernization as well as additional measures of the Customer on replacement of exhausters and filters will allow machine output and decrease the level of environment contamination.

Sintering machine guarantee parameters – output 1.2 – 1.3 t/m2/h.
The works were performed under the Contract concluded on 11.12.2011 on the results of Bokaro Steel Plant tender with consortium consisting of JSC “VO”Tyazhpromexport” (Leader) and MICCO (India) (the supplier of Indian equipment and services)
Sub-supplie The sub-suppliers of JSC “VO”Tyazhpromexport” are the State Enterprise Enterprise “UkrGipromez” (Dnepropetrovsk, the Ukraine), General Designer, JSC”Heavy Engineering ORMETO-YUMZ”, the designer and supplier of the main of the equipment and Dalian Dongfang Far East Machinery Co.,Ltd., China, the pallets supplier.
